Hotel Skye SFO

The AC started leaking around midnight, soaking the floor and spraying water onto the bed until half of it was wet. Some clothes I'd set on the floor for the next day got soaked too. I had to check out early the next morning and move to a nearby Marriott, where the quality difference was night and day. Before that, I'd found the room unclean, with a swollen, damaged floor. The room type also didn't match what I'd booked on Expedia, and the soundproofing was awful: I could hear outside and neighboring room noise all night. I checked in around 6 p.m. and had booked partly because the online listing advertised EV charging. But the charger only delivered 0.6 kW, about the same speed as nearby public chargers averaging around 0.4 kW, while costing more. That didn't offer a real advantage for a hotel charger, and advertising it felt misleading. Calling this a hotel seems generous; it felt more like a motel. This was one of my worst lodging experiences, and I'd urge anyone considering it to be very cautious.

We were really grateful for how the staff handled our very late check-in. They changed our room so we could sleep in, which was their suggestion, and held our bags after checkout until it was time for the airport shuttle. They also let us use a restroom to change before our long haul flight. The room was clean, tidy, and functional. Wonderful service at Hotel Skye!

The rooms are roomy and come with a fridge and microwave, and the recent remodel gave them modern furniture and decor. I found the hotel clean and safe, with a shuttle to the airport and very friendly staff. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood and transport to San Francisco nearby. Glad we found this gem.

Suzy and Ely were fantastic. They were welcoming and professional, went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed, and made me feel right at home. Everyone on staff was friendly from the moment I arrived. Hotel Skye in San Bruno, in the Bay Area, CA, was clean, comfortable, and well located for getting around. Their hospitality made the trip memorable, and I'd recommend the hotel and stay there again next time I'm in San Bruno.
