Six out of five :) The owners were lovely and super nice. My room was really clean and quiet, the bed was comfy, and the price was great. It's a neat old-style motel that's been refreshed with a modern look. The pier and the area with cool bars and good places to eat are just a quick drive away. Sugarshack is a great breakfast spot about 200 yards from here :)

The hosts were friendly, professional, and eager to help. They answered my questions and shared local tips, which made everything easy. I had all the amenities I needed, and the value was outstanding. I stayed at the Calafia Inn for a few days in June to surf. It's a clean, comfortable motel that's been updated recently, with a cheerful surf-motel feel. Simple, but renovated nicely. The beach isn't far, parking is easy, and getting off the freeway is straightforward. This place is a real hidden gem in San Clemente. I'll stay again without hesitation!

It's a family-run place just up the street from the legendary surf spot Lowers. The rooms are modern, updated, clean, and comfortable, and the mattresses are fantastic. I have pretty gnarly back issues and am picky about hotel beds, but I slept like a baby. They clearly put a lot into renovating the hotel, and it shows. 10/10, I'd recommend!
