It’s an old motel, cute and clean, but not historic. A basic breakfast with breads and grains is included, no meat or eggs. On arrival, they hit you with a sneaky $25 parking fee. The clerk said it’s optional, but if you don’t pay, you can’t park on site and have to find somewhere else. Sneaky and NOT OK.

At 5ft 11in, I could barely use the shower, and the super-mini bathtub seems suited to someone no taller than 5ft 6in. The bedside lamp didn't work, and the toilet was industrial. They also wanted $25 a day for parking, a $100 deposit, and $5 for water.

We left and booked another hotel as soon as we saw the room. It smelled awful, the shower looked dirty, and there was hair and powder in the bathroom. My husband had booked it for my birthday weekend, and it was expensive too. I wish I'd read the reviews first. After seeing them, I hope they give us our deposit back. So many people say they've been scammed. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

The rooms were fine otherwise, though a bit dated. The shower drained slowly, some water missed the showerhead, and parts of the carpeted floor squeaked. My main issue is the invoice. I booked through booking.com, and staff couldn't provide one. Every other hotel I've booked through booking.com has given me an invoice, so now I can't get reimbursed by my employer for almost a thousand dollars. Nobody told me this hotel couldn't issue one until it was too late.

The Continental Breakfast is a nice treat, and the staff have always been nice. I've stayed here every February for several years.
