Best Western Lamplighter Inn & Suites At Sdsu

The room was clean and had no bad smell, and parking is free. The staff are always helpful and positive, even late at night, and they respond to what we need. Definitely worth the price.

The front desk woman was so kind when I arrived on my own. Since I hadn’t stayed here before, she let me look at a room before assigning one to me. I slept really well, and the hotel is very close to San Diego State University, which made getting around convenient. I was on my way again the next day.

A great deal, and I’d book again. The room was clean, the front desk staff were friendly, and the grounds were well kept. You can walk to pretty much everything from here. It met my expectations.

Getting into the room was a hassle every time. The keys never worked during our stay, so we had to keep asking staff to reset them, and they weren’t friendly about it. The room also had a strange smell, and the linens on one of the queen beds looked and smelled as though several people had used them without them being washed. Breakfast was just hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, stale bread, and packaged “pastries.” The one real plus was being close to lots of restaurants with easy freeway access.
