The rooms were decent and clean, and the location was good. An older staff member told me there was a $50 cash deposit. When I frowned and said I didn't have it, he said I could pay later. That never came up again. I left at 4 am the next morning to return the key, but the doors were locked. Glad I didn't fall for his scam.

I've stayed here alone and with my daughter, and I felt very safe. You don't see people wandering around outside at strange hours. The rooms are clean, the staff are super friendly, and the place is super accessible. People who complain about noise apparently didn't notice the trolley tracks behind the hotel hahahaha. I'd definitely recommend it!

The location is pretty good, with the San Ysidro outlet nearby, and the rooms have been remodeled with new furniture. But the TV channels suck, and so does the remote. There's a mini refrigerator, but no microwave at all, not even at the front desk to heat food. Alex, the front desk worker who wears glasses, was rude and very unprofessional. He wasn't accommodating.
