California Dreams Hostel - Pacific Beach

I had a really positive few days at this hostel over the weekend. The location was convenient for getting around by bus, and the staff, especially vito, went out of their way to make me feel at home. I'd suggest not renting a car, since free parking nearby is hard to find. The only downside was the bathroom cleanliness. One guest left urine on the seats and didn't clean it up. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

California Dreams Hostel has a great, relaxed social vibe, and it was easy to meet people and have fun. The location is excellent and makes getting around simple. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean, simple, and comfortable. We had a great time and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

Right on the beach, really well priced, and with awesome staff. Ziggy & Jessica made our stay. It's a hostel, so it isn't pristine, but it does what it needs to do. The bunks have privacy curtains. I'd suggest keeping showers to 30 minutes or less. Highly recommend it, and thanks, guys!

The bed setup is great for adults, with comfy mattresses, privacy curtains, a night light, and four charging outlets in each bunk. Bathrooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast is better than an average continental spread: cereal, bagels with cream cheese, jelly and butter, sometimes orange juice, fresh apples and cuties every morning, good coffee, plus different teas with creamers, sugar, and stirrers. There's a big TV for Sunday 🏀 🏈 ⚽️⚾️ games, and the kitchen has everything you need, including cold drinking water. Walk down the sidewalk and it's lively, especially on weekends, with reasonably priced bars and restaurants. John from the staff was incredibly caring, almost unbelievably so, and the whole staff were welcoming. Best hostel in California. If I could stay longer than 14 days, I absolutely would.
