City24 Hotel Little Italy Mission Hills

We had a really good stay at City24 Hotel. The room was spotless and spacious, with a comfortable bed and full kitchen, and felt more like a little apartment than a regular hotel room. Everything seemed modern and thoughtfully arranged. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful without hovering. Being near Little Italy and downtown San Diego made it easy to reach restaurants and attractions. Even so, it was quiet enough to get some rest after a long day, which made the location a real plus.

For a group of eight, with four kids, this setup worked perfectly. Our two-bedroom unit had much more sleeping space than I expected: six hideaway wall beds from Clei, three sofa beds, one queen and one single, plus two king beds. It could comfortably fit well over a dozen if needed. There was a real shared living area, dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen, which is unusual in a hotel at this price. With this much room and a thoughtful layout, I’d have a hard time finding a traditional hotel that compares for a family our size. It feels like its own kind of accommodation, somewhere between a hotel and an Airbnb. There isn’t much staff, but everything is so intuitive and self-sufficient that we weren’t inconvenienced. The property faces the airport runway, so you get a front-row view of spectacular takeoffs and landings. The balcony can be noisy, but inside stayed quiet and well insulated.

We were six family members across three generations, and the space gave everyone room to relax while still feeling together. The modern, stylish design and layout made it a really enjoyable stay. I’d definitely come back.

The staff were amazing and communicated well. I had a great conversation with the manager, who was also very accommodating when I needed to extend my stay. The utilities and general atmosphere were better than I expected, and I loved being so close to the airport. This has been my favorite stay so far. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in the area.
