We had a guys’ weekend with my brother, and this was easily one of our best stays in La Jolla. I flew in from Hawai’i for the weekend, and the Cormorant Hotel exceeded every expectation. The setting and scenery are beautiful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, with little touches that made it easy to relax and enjoy the coast. The people made the biggest difference. Derek and Meghan were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived, and clearly cared about making our stay a good one. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made us feel like valued guests, not just another reservation. Mahalo and much aloha to both of them for a memorable visit. We’ll absolutely be back.

Location and charm are hard to beat. The Cormorant is so clean and quaint, and every employee gave amazing service, always smiling and going out of their way to make sure we were having a good stay. This was our third visit, and it’s the only place we’ll stay when we travel to the west coast. What a gem!

La Jolla is where we come to stay, and this place feels like our home away from home. The rooms are comfortable and have beautiful views, and you can walk to so many restaurants, shops, and the cove. The location is really convenient, and the staff are amazing. Derrick has greeted us on many of our visits and always takes such good care of us. We won’t stay anywhere else.

The rooms are on the small side, as you’d expect at a boutique hotel, but the balcony views and rooftop resturant more than make up for it. The Cormorant has a great atmosphere and service, and the location is ideal for a getaway, close to restaurants and bars and within walking distance of everything. Fair warning, there’s no on-site parking. They offer valet for $35 a night, which is decent compared with other hotels. Thanks to Marina for making us feel at home and showing us great hospitality.

Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The place seems very well managed, since everything just worked. Check-in went smoothly and the amenities were exactly what we needed. The service stayed consistently high enough to make you wonder who’s behind it. Whoever it is, they’re doing a great job. I had a great stay, would easily recommend it, and would come back without hesitation.
