Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and very clean, and I liked the quality of the toiletries. It stayed quiet, with no noise coming through the walls from neighboring guests. The location is convenient for freeway access but far enough from busy streets that traffic doesn’t bother you.

We only stayed one night in Room 365, thankfully. It’s close to downtown, but not very walkable for restaurants or convenience stores. The service was somewhat friendly, depending on who helped us. The price may be budget-friendly, but here you get what you pay for, and I’d spend a little more for somewhere cleaner and more comfortable. At first glance the room looked clean, but it felt worn and uncomfortable, and could use another renovation. There was a strong musty odor mixed with cleaning-product smells. Turning on the AC made it worse, like cat urine, so we left the door open to air it out. The old sliding door between the sink and shower was hard to open and close, and a basic handle would help. There was visible mold in the shower grout. The towels were thin and rough, and one was still damp, which made me wonder if it had been fully laundered. People were talking loudly in the parking lot around 2 a.m. I had to get up at 4 a.m., so that was especially frustrating.

For a modest price, we got a comfortable, clean, well-kept room with the basics we needed. The staff were welcoming and handled check-in and our requests smoothly. It’s a practical, no-fuss place that delivers good value.

The staff were a big part of what made this stay so good. Everyone was kind, attentive, and ready to help, and the rooms at Days Inn Hotel Circle were spotless, fresh, and comfortable. I’d happily return to San Diego and recommend it to anyone wanting a reliable, welcoming place.
