Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast

We stayed in the Old Town room for our second visit to Hillcrest House. It has a little private patio, and we could open the outside door to enjoy the fresh air. We live in the desert near Joshua Tree, so San Diego’s fresh, moist coastal air in July was a real treat. The house and room were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. There’s coffee and tea available around the clock, plus a few muffins and apples left out for anyone wanting a bite. Ann is a fab host and clearly pays attention to the little things guests need to feel comfortable. She’s also happy to suggest local attractions and activities. The location between the 163 and I-5, just south of I-8, is very convenient for us, with several restaurants a short walk away. We truly love this place. Ann is delightful, and the clean, comfortable inn has everything we need. Highly recommend! :D

The bed was super comfortable and the room was great. Ann called while I was boarding my plane to explain what I’d need for a later evening arrival. The location was great, next to my appointment and close to lots of restaurants. I went to Bronx Pizza, which is always a good idea. In the morning I came down for breakfast and met Ann, who was warm and friendly. She even caught up with me after checkout to hear how my appointment went. I’ll definitely stay here again if I need a place. Thank you, Ann!

I stayed from 16 to 21 July and could walk to most of the San Diego Pride week venues. Anne and the staff helped make it a very memorable visit. Anne gave all her guests a warm welcome and great hospitality. The rooms were comfortable and private, and breakfast was great every morning. I enjoyed my stay at Hillcrest House. We had a wonderful weekend at Hillcrest House and would easily come back. Ann is amazing and made our getaway even better. The room was comfortably sized, with a beautiful shower and a comfortable setting. Breakfast had plenty to eat, and the witty banter was a treat.
