Holiday Inn Express Airport Old Town

Breakfast was a much nicer experience thanks to Adhraa. She kept the area tidy and the food fresh and stocked, greeted everyone with a smile, and was quick to lend a hand. At check-in, Mr. Ulises was warm and professional, walked me through the process smoothly, and took time to explain the hotel amenities and local attractions. Both of them made me feel well looked after at the Holiday Inn Express in San Diego. The comfortable accommodations and especially the staff made this a place I’d recommend.

Steven, who drove the cybertruck, gave us some welcome ideas for Middle Eastern restaurants after we'd had plenty of Mexican and Italian food. My 10-year-old son was thrilled every time we rode in it. The hotel also has shuttle vans and a Tesla cybertruck for trips to Old Town and the airport, depending on availability. We were there for a few days in December 2025, and found the rooms clean, the service good, and the staff, including Adhraa and Art at the front desk, very helpful. The location was handy for getting to the airport, Old Town, Balboa Park, and San Diego Zoo by Uber. We were happy with the atmosphere and location, and would recommend staying here.

Nick picked me up at the airport and was genuinely kind and easy to talk to. The next day he suggested a great sandwich shop, then went out of his way to drive me there. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and welcoming. My room was spotless, one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've stayed in, and the whole property felt exceptionally clean. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to visitors in the area.

The rooms are quiet, clean, and well maintained, and there’s a good breakfast and free electric car charging. The location is great too, but the staff are the real standout. Ulises at the front desk is so polite and welcoming, and you can tell he really enjoys looking after guests. I’ve stayed here many times and haven’t met anyone like him. I’d book again just knowing he’d be there and I’d be in good hands. He’s exactly the kind of employee every Holiday Inn should have.
