Holiday Inn Express San Diego- Sea World

Getting to SeaWorld, Balboa Park, and downtown San Diego was quick and straightforward, with freeway access nearby. The hotel felt recently renovated, with modern finishes and a fresh feel, and it was exceptionally clean. My room was comfortable and well cared for. Breakfast had more options than I expected, including bacon, sausages, and different kinds of eggs. It ran from 6 to 10 AM, which made mornings easy. For its category, the stay exceeded my expectations, and I’d come back.

The room and bathroom were clean, the water was hot, and the beds were comfortable. I liked that the AC could be set below the usual 65°. The downsides were the shower pressure and noise from the road and neighboring rooms. It’s an older hotel, so I’m guessing the insulation just isn’t great. Still, I’d probably stay again. It’s not too shabby.

Getting to SeaWorld was so easy, and the hotel is seconds from the I-8 and I-5 ramps, which made getting around far less stressful. We had a lovely view of the area too. After an exhausting eight-hour Sprint flight that left my back in knots, the mattress and pillows brought instant relief. They’re clearly top-notch, and the room was spotless. The housekeeping team deserves credit for that. The coffee was another highlight, fresh, piping hot, and naturally sweet tasting. Staff were just as friendly at checkout as check-in, and the process was quick and easy. The woman at the front desk genuinely wished us well. I’ve stayed at dozens of places, from roadside motels to luxury resorts, and this Holiday Inn Express San Diego-Sea World Area is S-Tier for me. It beat the Best Western down the street and even some pricier hotels. I’d had a vacation from work after two years of miserable work, and this place was perfect. My friend enjoyed it too. I love the hotel and staff, and I’ll be back after my next vacation from my painful job working as a doctor or surgeon.

I spent three nights here with my family and we had a wonderful stay. The kids liked starting the day with the complimentary breakfast, and Jomar was a big help at check-in. Parking is included in the base price, though the garage is tight and there aren’t many spaces.
