After two work trips with extended stays, I’ve become a fan of Hyatt House. The King Suite feels like a small home away from home, with a kitchen, living area, and a separate king bedroom. There are two closets and a large bathroom and shower area. The location is a little off the beaten path, but restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive, and there’s a decent short menu for dinner and snacks. I’ve stayed at several locations between California and Chicago, and the staff have all been great. This one also works well for families, with free breakfast, a pool, and a fitness center. The business stations are generous if you want to get out of your room but still need somewhere to work.

I paid just over $200 including taxes and fees for a one-bedroom suite on a high floor, and was very pleased with the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and put me in an ideal room. It's a nice hotel at a very reasonable price, and I'd absolutely come back. You'll need a car to get anywhere from here.

I usually stay across the street, but this time Hyatt was cheaper, so I gave it a try. The king suite was roomy, clean, and had a full kitchen, full fridge, an extra closet in the living area, and a pullout couch. There was a TV in both the bedroom and living room. Breakfast was standard, though the French toast sticks were a surprisingly nice touch. The breakfast staff were great, and they keep the place really clean. Service was great overall. I'd recommend it.

Alan at the front desk was the best part of our girls’ weekend. He greeted us so warmly when we arrived and made every interaction fun. He was attentive, responsive, funny, and always went above and beyond when we needed something. You can tell he really cares about guests and takes pride in his work. Thank you for looking after us, Alan! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced, and breakfast each morning was a lovely way to start the day. We also felt safe and slept well, which matters a lot to us. We had a fantastic stay.

I was back at this hotel after staying here years ago, this time for two UCSD graduations. I’d researched hotels around La Jolla and was glad to come across Hyatt House San Diego/Sorrento Mesa again. The mini kitchen was handy for keeping drinks cold, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Parking was around the hotel’s perimeter, the staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were easy. I enjoyed my two-night stay and had no complaints. I was really pleased with Hyatt House.
