Loews Coronado Bay

We booked three nights hoping to explore San Diego, but my wife, daughter, and I wound up never leaving Coronado. I spent far more time at the resort than I’d planned. There’s a huge private beach, three beautiful pools, and two hot tubs, and the site is beautifully designed and kept. Crown Landing serves great food at reasonable prices, and the room rate was quite reasonable too. The resort is a 15-minute free shuttle ride from Coronado Village.

Our family gathered at Loews for my brother’s memorial celebration, a deeply meaningful and emotional weekend. The team made the experience feel supported and dignified, and we’re so grateful for the care they gave us. Daniel, Paulina, Emily, and Samantha were attentive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping us feel comfortable. Lonnie, Elijah, Cheryl, and Jocelyn deserve a special thank you too. Hospitality matters a great deal to me. I’ve worked in the industry for 15 years and now consult on hospitality, focusing on private client experience and repositioning advisory. Experiencing this level of service as a guest was powerful. The thoughtful touches, quick responses, and intuitive understanding of what people need during sensitive moments were all handled beautifully. The extra care I try to bring to my own work was on display here. It felt seamless, elevated, and sincere. Thank you for such a stellar experience.

The rooms were plenty big for one person and had a fantastic view. I spent two nights here for a work conference and have no complaints. The staff are excellent at their jobs, and dining at the resort was a good experience. Parking was the only challenge. Two conferences were happening while I was there, which made it harder to find a suitable spot. That won’t deter me from returning, but I’ll be more aware of the issue next time. I’d recommend the resort to others who want to experience what it offers. Thanks to the resort staff for the stay.

The city looked incredible from the event patio, especially around midday and at sunset. We were there for a week on a company trip, with breakfast and lunch included every day and a few dinners too. The food was better than I usually expect at a resort where you stay in, and the coffee shop on-site was fantastic. The outdoor pool area was lovely as well. The staff were consistently welcoming and checked in with guests whenever they could. I felt they cared about my comfort. Nearly everyone was kind and attentive, though one bartender was in a bad mood at our dinner party's pop-up bar. Our room was clean, and the bathroom had been nicely renovated. You can see layers of paint showing the property's age in a few spots, which comes with a resort that's been around a while. I'd suggest my company book it again.
