The staff were awesome, and the rooms were clean. The hallways, though, were filthy and need someone to sweep and mop them. Having the room doors open onto a long indoor hallway felt safer, but the dirty floors were confusing given how clean the rooms were. All in all, it worked for a quick turnaround trip to the s, and the price was very low. Not the cleanest Motel 6 I’ve stayed at.

I stay here often when my work takes me around San Diego County, including Mission Valley, Downtown San Diego, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Chula Vista, and North County. The major freeways are right there, parking is simple, and the clean, comfortable rooms are a welcome place to land after long workdays. The staff are professional, the property feels safe, and restaurants, shopping, and everything in Mission Valley are close by. They said they’d store our things in a room near the office while we went out, since everything wouldn’t fit in an Uber. We checked with staff and the manager several times about picking it all up. When we came back the next day, everything was gone. Our clothes and hygiene items had been there, too. They laughed and smiled, then said they’d thrown it out. I only found clothes in the dumpster, so it seemed they kept the valuable things. This motel is very corrupt.

I have to stay here for work in San Diego because of my budget, even though the rooms are in very poor repair, smell of cigarettes, and have unsecured door latches. At 3 a.m., meth users were screaming at each other in the parking lot for hours, with no staff intervention. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle, they’ll disappear. The location is great, and the morning and evening shift women are great, too. But the man at the front desk, who I assume from his attitude is the owner’s son, is extremely rude and shouldn’t be in hospitality. He ignored me for over a minute when I came to check in so he could text someone and laugh. Another time, he wouldn’t let me retrieve a medical device I’d left in the room.
