Old Town Western Inn & Suites

It's old, and yes, it has been upgraded, but it's no Ritz Carlton. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with a coffee maker, couch, and a large bathroom with amenities. The floors were spotless too. I love this place and will definitely stay again. It's a third of what other hotels in the area cost, and I loved it.

The breakfast waffle was really fluffy, and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. I was in town for a work event and stayed two nights. The room was simple, clean, and roomy, and the AC worked well. Mine was at the end of the second-floor hall near the utility room, with windows facing the street. Some rooms look onto the hall instead, so their shutters need to stay closed for privacy. Old Town shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and Hillcrest, Little Italy, and Balboa Park were about a 10-minute drive. I’d stay again.

The room was spacious, especially for such a low price, and the staff were kind and professional. The location near Old Town San Diego worked out well.

The bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and the room was clean. The hotel is old but remodeled, and close to lots of things to do, including the apricot and sea world. Getting an Uber or Lyft was easy too. My Hotels.com app had the wrong year on my booking, so I had no reservation when I arrived. They had a room available, but it cost almost twice what the app price would have been. I wish they’d been more flexible on the price.
