The pool area was a favorite, especially the jacuzzi with its strong jets, which made for a great massage. There’s an outdoor shower and restroom nearby too, and everything looked clean and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent and fresh each morning, with oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels and plenty more. My room was comfortable and had a good TV and free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I only had two small complaints: pool hours didn’t run late enough for a night swim, and the toilet didn’t have its own door, so there wasn’t much privacy if someone was showering while another person needed the restroom. Still, I had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely come back.

My team has spent a week here for our annual strategic planning meetings for two years now, and the staff have been attentive and very flexible every time. They really go above and beyond. The hotel has lots of space and natural light, plus a great grill and swimming pool. It’s centrally located near stores and walking trails. I highly recommend it.

I brought my dad to San Diego for a funeral, and the service from 1/29 through 2/1 was a 10. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, and this was by far the best service I’ve had. The rooms were beautiful, the restaurant and bar had a nice little menu, breakfast was fresh, and the snack store had everything. Thank you.

I received a very sincere email from the hotel this morning, and Isabel responded almost immediately and took my concerns seriously. I really appreciate that. That’s what top-notch customer service looks like. I went in with high expectations and was disappointed by a few things, even though the place is only about a year old and still looks and smells new. The lobby has lovely details, and the outdoor seating by the fire pits is gorgeous, with lots of room. There are grills too, and you can get utensils at the front desk. The pool and hot jacuzzi look great, and I’d never seen a hotel infinity-edge pool before. It was too cold for me to try the pool. The jacuzzi was a hassle. On the first night it seemed to work like a negative edge, which felt odd but maybe was some new technology. The second night the water was two feet below the drain and cold. I told the front desk. On the third night it was extremely hot but lost water quickly, with a lot of noise. I spent ten minutes in it and gave up. I skipped it the fourth night. The motion-sensor room lights were bizarre. While working, I had to move every minute to keep them on. The sensor was above the bed and didn’t detect me at the computer desk or on the couch. The front desk told me it worked every 15 minutes, but I timed it at one minute, which was frustrating. The shower and bath were clean and very nice, with room for two to use them at once. The walls were thin, though, and noise from above and next door was loud early in the morning. My platinum status also wasn’t recognized at check-in, a small, petty thing. I wasn’t charged for parking. If they do charge, there’s plenty of free street parking out front, and the area felt safe enough that I’d use it to save a few dollars. There are lots of restaurants nearby, some a long walk away and others right across the street.
