There are long flights of stairs from the front door to the first floor, making this hotel entirely inaccessible. Its marketing talks a lot about comfort but says nothing about the stairs. The room was shabby: water was left standing in the tub, there was mildew on the wall from the split AC unit, and the bed felt like a board. There is nobody on site, so we contacted the text support line. Despite the lack of accessibility, they said they wouldn't refund us. During a convention, we had to find another room at the last minute and pay more. This was deeply disappointing and borders on discriminatory. I will be filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs.

You'll be hauling your luggage up 2 long flights of stairs if you book here. This is Not a "Hotel". There's no housekeeping, and the bed was oddly damp beneath a strange, spongy mattress. You can't check in early, and checkout is at 10am or a bouncer will rudely tell you to leave. Yikes.

The location made getting to nearby attractions and good places to eat easy, and the hotel's design and amenities gave it a cozy, stylish feel. At the Arthur Hotel, I felt at home as soon as I arrived. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It was a memorable visit, and I'd happily recommend the Arthur Hotel to anyone after a top-notch experience.

We picked this hotel for a concert at Petco Park, which was so close by. Downtown San Diego was a great base too, with restaurants and attractions nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and super stylish, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely a convenient and enjoyable spot to stay.
