The Lodge at Torrey Pines

We ate on the restaurant patio and were treated really well. The service was quick, the food was really good, and the drinks were great too. The venue is incredible, with ocean views. You don't need to stay there or be a member to eat.

The bar was packed with a conference crowd, and Kasha was handling it with just one bar back. She still made each guest feel special and took every cocktail request in stride. My husband and I were struck by how humble she was and how much she knew about drinks. Her service made the evening a highlight of our stay at Torrey Pines Resort. She’s a real professional and a wonderful representative of the resort.

This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had, and every interaction with the staff felt warm and kind. We were congratulated by at least five people during our stay. At check-in, there was champagne, strawberries, and a congratulations note in our room, and AR Valentien made us a personalized menu for our anniversary. From Ryan at AR Valentien and the front desk to the pool staff and even the woman sweeping the entrance to the fifth-floor parking level, everyone was amazing. The rooms, spa, dining, pool, and room service were all fantastic. It’s expensive, but amazing.

The spa was great, and room service, valet, and the concierge were prompt and helpful. The fitness center was fine, though it could use some attention. We stayed with our family for three days, and the Lodge’s classic design and decor made it feel like another era. During the holidays, the Christmas trees and fires were especially welcoming. The outdoor areas are lovely, with stunning views over the Torrey Pines golf course, and the park is nearby. We were told the walkway to the park would be closed through March for construction. The location also makes it easy to reach everything San Diego County has to offer.
