Urban Boutique Hotel

The location is great and the staff were friendly, so it could work for one night at most. The building feels outdated, like an old college dorm or motel, and you can hear people in nearby rooms and upstairs. My room had no soap, not enough towels, and the floors and grout weren’t clean. There’s no daily housekeeping during a stay either. I’d never been to this area and trusted the online photos, but for my first visit I wish I’d spent more to stay somewhere else. As people say, you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays if you want comfort, modern amenities, cleanliness, and no hidden fees. They charge for using a lockbox and for anything you touch in the room.

Little Italy is a fantastic, walkable location, with restaurants, cafés, and shops just steps away. I was also lucky to find free weekend parking at a meter, and the woman who checked me in was very sweet and welcoming. I really wanted to love this hotel, but the room was a letdown. It overlooked the cleaning crew area, and I found a roach in the bathtub. At first it smelled very clean, but later we realized an air freshener was hidden behind the toilet, so that wasn’t the same as a deep clean. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and the very thin walls let us hear the neighbors clearly, making it hard to relax. Despite the excellent location, I wouldn’t stay here again because of the cleanliness, noise, and comfort issues.

Manny was incredibly friendly and helpful, even while busy. We forgot something in the room, and he did a great job helping us get it back. He was welcoming at both check-in and checkout. The rooms are small but clean, with a comfortable bed and hot shower. The hotel is excellent for walking around, and the service was so good I’d love to stay again.

The breakfast was good, with lots of yogurt, really fresh croissants 🥐, coffee, and cheesy sticks. The guys at the desk were nice, too. The room was small and not very clean, with lots of long hair on the floor. The bathroom and toilet don’t have good ventilation, so after using the toilet the smell spreads through the whole room. Oddly, the TV didn’t have a remote, or at least we couldn’t find one, so I wasn’t sure how to use it. Just an okay hotel.
