We're staying here now and it's been a great experience so far. Sami has been wonderful since we arrived, always helpful and going out of his way to make sure we're taken care of. He makes everything easy, and you can tell he truly cares about the guests. Five stars all around!

Lezly really made my birthday stay special. She recognized my Bonvoy status, noticed it was my birthday, and went above and beyond for us. I spend around 50-100 nights a year in hotels and, after a few disappointing years with Marriott as a Bonvoy member, this stay was well above what I expected. I've renewed my belief in Marriott properties. The room, view, and location were perfect, about 5 minutes from Gaslamp and 15 from the Midway. The bar had a great bourbon selection and knowledgeable servers. We tried several bourbons, then went home and bought a few bottles of our favorites. This was an amazing birthday, and this will be our go-to in San Diego from now on.

The downstairs restaurant was great for lunch and dinner, and the location made it easy to get around, including to the airport. The bed was the best hotel bed I've ever slept in. I was there with a group for a conference planning meeting and will be back in a few months. I did get a different room from the one I'd booked, which was annoying, though since I was alone it was okay. The room felt small, but maybe that was because I was put in a double. For the price, I expected a little more from a Westin, but the stay was still very nice.

We chose The Westin Gaslamp Quarter San Diego for our anniversary and left feeling refreshed, appreciated, and eager to come back. The team was thoughtful and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived, making this our best anniversary experience yet. Our room was spotless, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. It gave us a peaceful place to unwind right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. We could easily explore the area, then return to a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that made us want to stay in. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

Selena (????) at the lobby Starbucks was great, and the fitness room was okay to good. The room was comfortable too. What I object to is the mandatory $25-per-night destination charge, plus tax. Sneaking that in is BS and a disingenuous way to tack on $25 a night. Surely no guest thinks it's a good idea. I didn't have a car, but $60 a night for parking seems excessive as well.
