The location was perfect for our San Diego trip and the Nine Inch Nails concert, with the venue an easy walk away. But the problems started right away. The elevator in our building and the third-floor vending machine were both out of order, and the lobby fridge wasn't working either when I went to buy water. After a long first day, I hoped to unwind in the hot tub, but it was lukewarm, filthy, impossible to see through, and the jets didn't work. I tried calling the front desk from the room and got no answer. I'm still on day one and already wish I'd picked another hotel or motel. With all that, the price should be lower. Be warned.

We were really happy with our MLK Weekend stay and would come back next time we're in San Diego from the East Coast. Our room in building 'D' was set apart from the main group of buildings, and the gated parking there was a nice perk. The room had been refreshed and was pleasant, though it was on the smaller side compared with the room sizes shown on the fire escape plan. Getting to both downtown SD and the beaches was easy, and there were good restaurants nearby too.

The room was comfortable, well kept, and had everything I needed. I also appreciated how much care the team showed in looking after guests. The property was spotless, and the staff were warm and attentive. Being just steps from the beach was hard to beat, and check-in and check-out both went smoothly. My stay felt relaxing from start to finish. I'd recommend it for a short trip or a longer one, and I'm already looking forward to returning to San Diego.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely updated, and the hotel was a great distance from the shopping center and beach. We had a problem with a beeping fire alarm after getting to our room, but the staff moved us to another one quickly. They were very attentive and accommodating, including when I checked in extremely late. Everything from check-in through checkout went really well, and I'd stay at Wyndham Garden again.

The room was grimy and poorly maintained, with a broken light over the sink that Pearla said she'd have maintenance fix. Nobody came. The bathroom was so tiny there wasn't even a place to hang a towel. Pearla at the front desk was rude and disrespectful, and refused when I asked to speak with a manager. They advertise breakfast online, but there isn't any, so expect to find food somewhere else in the morning. They also charge $20 a day for parking, which is absurd here. My two nights at Wyndham Garden San Diego near SeaWorld came to $240 with the nightly rate and fees. For that money I could have stayed somewhere much nicer without all this hassle. I wouldn't come back even if the room were free, and I'm done with the Wyndham brand. Save your money and sanity, there are other SeaWorld area hotels that value guests and offer what they advertise.
