A beautiful hotel in a fantastic spot, with restaurants, shops, and attractions just steps away. The stay was amazing overall. My only small complaint was that the shower ran very hot. Definitely worth it for a visit to San Jose.

For my fiancée's birthday, we stayed here, and the trip wouldn't have been the same without the staff. They were easy to reach from the start and helpful with our questions. Check-in went smoothly, and the care and kindness we got made us feel like family, like real VIPs. We've never been treated this way anywhere else. They made the trip one we'll always remember, and we're grateful for the impression they left. We can't wait to come back!

The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, but the furniture was old and dinged up. It felt closer to 3.5 stars than four. Several parts of the hotel were under renovation, which I don't think was happening when I booked. I feel there should be a discount when that's the case. I have Diamond Elite status through Chase Sapphire, the second-highest IHG level, but nobody mentioned it at check-in and I got no perks. The $47 valet fee is a scam. Street parking is $2 an hour, so even parking from 9 to 6 all day costs just $18.

San Pedro Square is right nearby, with plenty of restaurant choices. The location also makes it easy to get to the local sports Arena and downtown tech offices. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff are always friendly. A very solid choice for downtown San Jose.

DeAnza Hotel has a lovely mix of history, romance, and charm, and it feels right for a storybook wedding reception if you want somewhere with character rather than a cookie-cutter venue. This standout Art Deco hotel is in the heart of Silicon Valley and Downtown San Jose. It's extremely pet friendly, and the customer-focused staff are consistently accommodating and professional. The new ownership seems dedicated to making this iconic place a crown jewel for San Jose and Silicon Valley. Highly recommended.
