Hyatt House San Jose Airport

I intend to dispute a night's stay with AMEX. They wouldn't remove the one-night charge for what happened, and only offered Hyatt points. Jean Moreno, the Front Office Supervisor, said his Manager, Leanne Preposi, would only offer points. She was out of the office, and Jean wouldn't give me her phone number. This is unacceptable. When I checked in, no one told me the room carpet would be cleaned the following day. I had business video calls and laundry to do, and asked Housekeeping to clean the room so my meetings wouldn't be interrupted. They knocked, I let them in, then went to get breakfast. When I returned, the room hadn't been made up and the carpet was completely soaked. The Front Desk said I should have received a notice about the carpet cleaning. They brought fans into the room without telling me, then put me in a conference room with another person for my private business calls. This hotel is poorly managed, customer service is terrible, and staff aren't willing to fairly compensate guests for their mistakes. See pictures.

I needed a room in San Jose at short notice, and this was a perfect choice. The room was clean, with a comfortable king bed and a walk-in shower. There was an open lobby with plenty of seating, a full bar, free coffee and snacks, plus a small market for convenience items. The front desk employees were great, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. Highly recommend it!

The AC wouldn't go below 69 degrees, and I was trying to sleep before an early morning flight. I chose this hotel to be closer to the airport, but the room felt so hot that I didn't sleep well. The bed was only about a 5/10 for comfort. The room was clean, well furnished, and put together nicely, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The breakfast buffet was really good, though I wish they'd had some vegetables. The beds at Hyatt are always nice, and the blackout shades helped me sleep well. As an Explorist, I got a late checkout, a free room upgrade, and free parking for one night. Those perks are valuable, and I love my Hyatt membership. This Hyatt House is a great place to stay while traveling through the South Bay. All the staff made me feel welcome and greeted me with friendly smiles. I especially want to mention Cecilia. I asked her a few questions, and she took time to call a couple of managers to find an answer. That's above and beyond the customer service you usually get in the USA, which is sad to say. I highly recommend staying here near the SJC airport.
