HOTEL CERRO, Autograph Collection

I'm on the road full time for work, and Hotel Cerro was very gracious when our team had to deal with an event cancellation and a refund. It took several calls back and forth with the front desk over a few hours, but they were diligent and helpful throughout, going above and beyond. Matt, the manager, and Rosalia at the front desk deserve a special thank you. I can't say enough about their courtesy and customer service.

We spent three nights at Hotel Cerro over Thanksgiving. The location in the middle of downtown SLO made it easy to walk wherever we wanted, and parking was simple with valet. They even charged our EV overnight. We had brunch at the restaurant one day, and both the food and service were excellent. The lobby has lovely furnishings and artwork, and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. They also sorted out an old problem with our Marriott Bonvoy account. Our room layout was unusual because you entered through what was basically the bathroom, but it worked well. The bathroom was enormous, with probably the biggest shower I've seen. The mattress was very comfortable, and the amenities made the room feel homey. Fantastic stay, even if this review is late because life got busy.

The Zaca Coffee amenities were a small but lovely touch. The coffee was delicious, and the equipment was really easy to use. I also loved being able to step right into downtown San Luis Obispo's shopping and dining area. I had a solo night at Hotel CERRO to get some peaceful sleep away from my wonderfully noisy, busy kids. My loft was spacious, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed, with a calm feel that made it easy to unwind. The deep soaking tub was a dream after a long day, and the bed was super cozy. Service was wonderful throughout, and I can't wait to come back.

The room was beautiful and clean, and the whole hotel smelled really nice. The layout was unique, though: I felt like I was walking into the bathroom when we entered. It wasn't horrible, but it took some getting used to. We were on the pub side, so it was loud until about 1 am. The hotel was full, so I put in my earplugs and fell asleep. They could maybe offer earplugs to people in street-facing rooms. Breakfast was messy when we arrived at 11. The young man was apparently handling serving, cashiering, bussing, and making coffee by himself after it got busy, so the tables hadn't been cleaned yet. I felt bad for him, but he handled it well, stayed engaged with all of us late breakfast stragglers, and took care of us.
