Hotel San Luis Obispo

For our anniversary, we were upgraded to a corner suite, a lovely two-room, one-and-a-half-bath apartment with two patios and great views. We had excellent food and wine at the two adjoining restaurants, Piadina and Ox and Anchor, and enjoyed the live music in the evenings. Everything was easy: we were right in downtown SLO for shopping, walking around, and eating well, and the room was super clean with nice amenities. The place feels modern and has a cool vibe, and the service was excellent. It made for a great anniversary weekend, and we appreciated being made to feel special.

We stayed one night for the second time. My teenager trains for the US Naval Cadet program in SLO, and because it's a long drive from home, we like to come in the night before pickup. The hotel is clean, modern, and well managed. Everyone we dealt with, from valet and front desk to the restaurant, was courteous and professional. They provide free Tesla charging overnight, and let our small dog stay for a reasonable fee. We love this place.

I travel for work as a flight attendant and always look forward to staying at Hotel SLO. The front desk team consistently goes out of their way to welcome us and help. Kira, Kara, and Kawika are especially warm and professional. It feels like a relaxing vacation each time. Recently our flight was delayed, which created a problem with the hotel's airport transportation. Manager Hailey was very understanding and offered vouchers for the great on-site restaurants to make up for the inconvenience. Her kindness made a stressful situation much easier. I'm grateful to everyone who helps make our stays comfortable, and I can't recommend the hotel enough.

It's a really nice hotel, with beautiful rooms and a new, amazing pool. But sleep was poor for us. We could hear people walking outside our room at all hours, and when we raised it with the front desk twice, they offered no solution. If you can't sleep well, it's not a great choice.
