Extended Stay America Premier Suites - San Diego - San Marcos

The room was fairly new and clean, with no carpet, and parking was free. There wasn't much within walking distance. Coffee was available all day and was decent; breakfast was packaged muffins, oatmeal, and cereal bars. I expected the usual room basics like a coffee maker, glasses, a hair dryer, and shampoo, plus some extras for an extended stay, but they weren't in the room. You have to ask the front desk for those and for kitchen items. It seemed like there was only one person covering the desk, so they weren't always there when they had to step away.

I came by myself to visit my children and felt safe and looked after. Elizabeth made sure I had a good time. The room and facilities were neat and clean, and the grab-and-go breakfast was good, with great coffee. The rooms were clean and inexpensive, and my experience was better than I expected.

I really appreciated my time at this hotel. Malanie, the Manager, leads by example and works as hard as the rest of the team. The whole staff is professional, and it felt like a safe place to stay. I had an awesome experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to sleep safely.

The location wouldn’t be my first choice, but when our accommodations fell through at the last minute, this was the only place that stepped in and actually seemed to want to help. The manager was super friendly, got us out of a pinch, and took care of us.
