The room felt damp when we first got in, but running the AC cleared that up fast. Its filter was clean, and we had no dust or allergy trouble. The place is very affordable and close to Cedar Point. The carpet had a few stains and the walls some dings, but the room itself was clean and comfortable. Not Sandusky's best hotel, maybe, but nowhere near the worst either. Don't let the bad reviews put you off.

We left and went to Great Wolf, where we even got a better rat. This place was filthy, smelled of weed and cigarettes, and seemed poorly run. Maybe a truck driver or two stays here. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms need serious work, and the bathroom needed a proper wipe down, including getting rid of the cobwebs. There were paint chips on the walls, and the so-called continental breakfast was a letdown, with no protein and plenty missing. The full service bar was closed, apparently for a long time, despite the property's potential to make good money. We barely saw anyone staying there. At first there were only three cars, then two more later that night. Around 10:30, we went to our car and saw a very drunk man in the hallway with a case of beer. One beer had spilled across the floor, and my wife felt uncomfortable walking past him. Seeing the Google reviews afterward made the quiet lot make sense. I'm surprised Wyndham allows things to be this way. It was a last-minute booking, but next time I'll read reviews first.

We were there with a big group for a baseball tournament, with kids in the 11u and 16u age groups. Our group had few problems, but the younger group dealt with issues every day, which shouldn't happen at a place charging as much as this one. Guests expect a decent level of service, and they didn't get it. Employees were rude and unprofessional, and didn't respond appropriately. People got yelled at or penalized for things they hadn't done, with mix-ups and miscommunication adding to it. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it's just for one night.

The room had no bugs in it, thankfully, and was clean enough, but the bathroom didn't look clean enough for either of us to feel comfortable showering. The beds were hard and springy, and the pillows were extremely flat. Outside our room the next morning, people were yelling and fighting. From the moment we arrived, people wandering around outside had seemed off, and I felt unsafe in the parking lot and hallways. The lobby is the only part that looks updated. The photos make the place seem like an average hotel with nice rooms and a bar, but the bar isn't open, and the hallways look like office corridors covered in bugs. Mayflies swarmed the doors, windows, and lights in the entrance hall, and there were even more on the stairs. We hurried through it all. We booked about a month ahead, but on Memorial Day weekend, with other places outrageously priced, the desk computers weren't working and they had no one-bed rooms left. The pictures are very deceptive. Please stay somewhere else for your safety and satisfaction.
