Cedar Point's Express Hotel

The front desk staff were great, and the hotel and room were clean. We had lots of bath towels, washcloths, and hand towels. Each queen bed had six pillows, three soft and three firm, and the bedding was clean. The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus hooks for rags or loofahs. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, in a hotel or anywhere. It felt like a board and definitely needs replacing. The fridge was annoyingly loud no matter what we tried short of turning it off. Breakfast in the morning would be a nice addition. We’d consider staying again since the park is only a five-minute drive, but those beds could be a deal breaker.

The room was clean overall, and the staff were friendly. Its location near the park is wonderful. A few things were stained, including the curtains and carpets, and the in-room phone didn’t work, though those weren’t major concerns for us. The very thin top blankets were the main problem and made sleeping uncomfortable. We’d stay again if we booked a Cedar Point bundle, but we’d bring our own blanket.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. For a reasonable price, the hotel had a little Cedar Point character, in a way that reminded me of Disney’s value resorts like All Star Music. The theme is minimal, but you know you’re at a Cedar Point hotel. I arrived, got a warm greeting, and was in my room within minutes. Being so close made it feel like I was right by the park gate. The gift shop and included early entry were nice extras. More TV choices, like premium channels or Netflix, would have been good, but that’s a small complaint. Visit: 10/16-10/18 2025.

It’s convenient if you mainly need a place to sleep between park days. Cedar Point is about five minutes away, early admission is included, and it’s relatively affordable compared with nearby hotels. You do get what you pay for, though. It’s a family property, so there are lots of kids and noise, which makes sense in this setting. The more serious issues were maintenance and cleanliness: the carpets were stained, and the rooms looked old and worn. If you want comfort or a polished hotel experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
