Cedar Stables Inn and Suites

Our room felt really cozy when we walked in, and there was wine, beer, and water waiting for us, a nice surprise. We also got wristbands for free bowling, and the restaurant on site had very good food and drinks. Getting checked in was confusing at first, but a worker in the restaurant pointed us in the right direction. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for a Cedar Point trip. We’d highly recommend Cedar Stables to anyone looking for a fun, different place to stay.

The bed was comfortable, and the couch with the faux fireplace made the room feel warm and inviting. I liked the personal touches too: a bottle of red wine, chocolate, and a guestbook filled with notes and stories from earlier visitors. There’s a bowling alley with free games, along with a bar and restaurant, which made for a relaxing evening away. It wasn’t luxury, and the room could have been cleaner. The carpets were dingy and there was dust in the corners. Still, it was charming and enjoyable for a quick getaway. For the price and atmosphere, I’d consider returning, especially if they put a little more focus on cleanliness.

We booked two rooms for two nights, and it was horrible. The mildew smell hit as soon as we entered, and the stair carpet was worn. Our keycards kept giving us trouble whenever we left and came back. The room description was misleading: those weren’t two queen beds, but full beds. The futon sofa was heavily stained, the bathroom smelled like burning old rubber, one toilet kept clogging and needed maintenance, and there was no extra toilet paper. The sink drained slowly, the fridge didn’t work, and the TV was awful with no movie channels. We spent $1,400 on trash and will never return.

Nicole made our one-night tournament stay memorable. She was working behind the bar but took time to give me a tour of the whole hotel campus on the way to our room, pointing out the activities and explaining that it was kid and family friendly. She even shared the hotel’s history and renovation story. She also told me about the complimentary beer flight in our fridge and the wine included with our stay, which I hadn’t expected. The room was clean, spotless, and cute, and I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and what it offered. It felt like a hidden gem among all the chain hotels. I’ll book here again when we come back for a tournament.
