We had eight people in condo 301 and still had plenty of room and privacy. It had everything we needed, including a beach cooler. The pool was awesome, and though the Gulf was right there, we ended up swimming in the pool every time we went out in the heat. Pelicans Roost has a relaxed, family feel. We visited in the off season in late August and really appreciated the privacy. There was lots of wildlife on the property, and dolphins came through around 7 each evening. Once, they were about 15 feet from shore and stayed to play.

We spent a whole week here and always had something to do, from the pool and tennis courts to the sandy beach. The complex is beautiful, the accommodations were great, and everyone was friendly. It connects directly to Sanibel's Main Street and is easy to get around by bike. I’d highly recommend it to visitors or anyone looking for a future beach home.

We’ve returned several times, usually choosing a third-floor unit for the view. All 21 units face the Gulf, and the shelling right out front is some of the best.

The condos are right on the beach, so it’s only a short walk to the surf. Our two-bedroom place was spotless, with lovely views. We enjoyed the shells and spectacular sunrises, and had a good visit that we’d likely repeat. The facility itself could use an update and some TLC. I hope the owners improve it.
