Island Cow is my favorite place to eat, and I can’t think of anything I’d change about Sanibel, except maybe where I live! From our nicely decorated condo, it was just a short half minute walk along the boardwalk to a beautiful stretch of white sand, as far as you can see. I couldn’t have been happier.

You’re only about a hundred paces from the water, and the condo is very well appointed. Big glass sliders open onto a screened porch, with the ocean right in front. I definitely recommend it.

Unit 211 Sandpointe has a great beachfront setting, with a lovely screened porch view, the pool and beach just steps away, gorgeous sunsets every night, and plenty of parking. The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled recently. We rented from 1/11 thru 1/25 2020. The stay started badly because the unit hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a pill on the sheets the first night, so it didn’t seem they’d been changed. The mattress was worn out and squeaked whenever someone moved. Royal Shell brought a topper that helped a little, and confirmed the bedframe was broken and needed replacing. The dishwasher had also been stopped before its cycle finished, leaving dirty water and dishes for us. The heat problem at the end was the last straw, and we decided not to return to this unit. When it was 42 degrees outside, the condo was only 60 degrees and the heat wouldn’t start. Royal Shell sent Captain Cold Cooling, who got the fan going while we were out, but there was still no heat and the place was at 62 degrees. We had to call again. On the next visit, while we were there, they did something and the heat came on. Royal Shell followed up, but said Captain Cold reported finding nothing wrong on that second visit. That felt very unprofessional. There had also been an air conditioning problem when we arrived, with the unit at 78 degrees and no working A/C. We called Royal Shell on a Sunday. Their technician from "Captain Cold Cooling" said he had "Sprinkled some magic Disney dusy" and got it working. It was fixed, but the comment didn’t come across as professional. Royal Shell was responsive, though we had to follow up too much, and the poor cleaning, lack of A/C, unprofessional HVAC service, bed trouble, and then lack of heat made for a terrible first impression that we couldn’t get past.

The condo is modern, spotless, and quiet, with lovely sea views. The beach nearby is a beautiful, peaceful stretch. Highly recommended.
