We had a beautiful day on the beach after taking a boat up the Gulf Coast from Naples. I’m not sure how to get access from the road. It wasn’t crowded, though it was off season, and a lot of boats pulled up with people getting off and walking along the beach. The water was murky from runoff after four days of really bad rain, but it was extremely warm. We wandered along the shore, found tons of seashells, and had fun despite the cloudy water.

The no-see-ums, sandflies, or biting midges were the worst. My whole family got bitten several times, and the itching was awful. We won’t be back. You’ll need a lot of bug or mosquito repellent. Sandalfoot Beachfront Condos were great, and the pool was simple and nice. The beach wasn’t for me.

We’ve stayed at Sandalfoot for 10 years, including a vacation four years after Ian. I’m really impressed with the team. The condos look great, the grounds are perfect, and the beach is so nice!

12/13/2025 We’ve visited Sandalfoot many times and have always had a good time, including this trip. The condos are brand new, and the remodeling job by the owners looks great. We saw no noseeums or other bugs, though there was plenty of sun. Enjoy Sanibel while it’s still quieter. I expect it won’t be long before the tourists return and prices go up, but even with an increase, the value is still there. Thanks, Sandalfoot. See you again soon.

The staff were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our apartment was clean, well laid out, and had fantastic views in a great location. It was busier than our usual late summer visits, so the pool and beach had a few more people, but the site never felt too crowded. Having both right outside was great. We also enjoyed using the pickleball, tennis, and shuffleboard amenities.
