Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort

The ocean and green grasslands made a stunning view, and we already miss it. The room and location were fantastic, and the bike rental staff and service were excellent. Some other front desk members were very helpful too. But after we extended our stay, we had to go back twice to get our key cards working. The second time was uncomfortable. A staff member asked for ID, spent more than ten minutes at the desk, then went into a back room for another five minutes without explaining what was happening. It felt less like fixing a room key and more like a discriminatory background check. The setting is wonderful, but this interaction was a major low point. The front desk process needs to be clearer and smoother.

We stayed three nights in a king bedroom with an oceanfront view. The room was a nice size, with a sofa and comfortable chair, though the decor felt a little plain. The patio chairs were okay for watching people and looking at the ocean. Front desk service was wonderful, and service in the restaurants was very good. We had a pleasant stay.

Alexx made me feel valued even with a huge crowd in the lobby. After a very long day of travel, he was kind, professional, personable, attentive, and accommodating. I travel for work often, and I was blown away by the service. I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The pool was warm even with temperatures around 60°F, and the elevated walkway had a great view. The location works well for Santa Barbara airport, though LAX is a long drive away. My room was nice, but dental floss was hanging from the shower wall, which made me question how clean it was. Conference food was just okay and lukewarm each day. I really don’t like cold, runny eggs. I was first given the wrong room, even after I explained several times that it belonged to my colleague. I had no car, and the huge parking lot looked more than 60% empty. My partial ocean view was only okay. The outer buildings may not have elevators: mine didn’t, so I carried my own bags up an outdoor staircase in the rain. Wi-Fi coverage was spotty too.
