The rooms were a little tight in the bathroom for two adults, which was my only complaint. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay and loved the hotel. The room had a lovely four-poster bed, and the hotel itself has plenty of character. The staff were nice and helpful, we enjoyed the food and cocktails, and the downtown location was perfect for exploring. We chose the Kimpton because it was part of The Edit program with Chase, and were very glad we found it.

Olivia Wiley was especially great throughout the planning. She stayed on top of communications and requests, and even brought appetizers to our room for cocktail hour because she knew we'd be hungry before joining everyone. I've worked with hundreds of vendors in corporate events, and the Kimpton ranks at the top. We toured several Santa Barbara venues, then saw the rooftop and knew we'd found our place. It's beautiful, with magnificent views. The event staff were easy to work with, and our band, florist, photographer, and others could access the space without trouble. The dinner food and service were incredible. The hotel is stunning, the restaurants are fabulous, and the service was incredible throughout. It was a 10/10 experience from beginning to end, and I'm so glad we held our wedding reception here. We can't wait to return for our anniversaries. Absolutely the best!

The valets offered to charge our EV, and apparently had a few chargers available. I also really enjoyed the on-site breakfast. The Kimpton Canary is in excellent condition, with warm, engaging, helpful staff, and a great location for walking to restaurants and shops. We loved our time there and are glad it's a Chase Edit property. Totally impressed!

What made the Kimpton stand out for me was the kind, attentive service. Chloe at the front desk was professional and down to earth, gave me great recommendations, and helped with whatever I needed. Her customer service made this easily my favorite hotel in Santa Barbara. I loved the room as well. It was clean and well situated, with great lighting, a nicely set-up bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The rooftop pool was lovely.

The rooftop pool and 360° views made it easy to spend the whole day at the hotel. We could also walk to downtown restaurants, Ghirardelli, and the beach. A foldable crib arrived in our room within 10 minutes, and it fits a pack and play sheet. I saw two dogs in the lobby, but it wasn't overrun with animals like some Kimptons. Valet parking is steep at $50/day.
