Hampton Inn Santa Cruz West, CA

I stay at Hampton hotels whenever I travel, and this one was great for its rooms, food, and the rest. The traffic on Mission and Highway 1 was the problem. Even with earplugs, the road noise woke me very early. I’d ask for a room away from the highway.

They were so accommodating when I arrived early, letting me leave my bags, offering hot coffee, and finding me a place to work before check-in. Everyone stayed friendly and welcoming throughout my visit, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was great, and I liked that the hotel welcomes dogs. There’s also a gym. It was a fantastic stay, and they went beyond what I expected. I’d definitely recommend it.

A TV in our room wasn’t working, but they sent someone right away to check it. The person was really nice, so no complaints about how they handled it. Otherwise, it’s a typical Hampton Inn, nothing amazing, but the location is great. There are bike rentals and a brewery right across the street. I’d stay here again if I’m in Santa Cruz.

Hazel’s kindness and positive attitude made a real difference to my day. She works hard cleaning and maintaining the common areas, yet stays pleasant and welcoming. You can tell she puts her heart into the job. She carries herself with so much grace, even with demanding work. Hazel represents hospitality so well, and I’m grateful for her and all the effort she puts in. She deserves to be recognized. 💛
