Harbor Inn

I only needed a place to sleep for a few days, and Harbor Inn worked really well for that. I stayed three days in early April 2019, then returned for a week, March 26 to April 2, in 2022. Both times the price was reasonable, and even though Friday and Saturday nights cost more, it was still quite inexpensive. I had a larger room with its own bathroom, room 101 facing 7th street. It was comfortable, and the noise from 7th died down at night, so sleeping was easy. I didn’t mind that there was no room cleaning service. There was a cabinet stocked with clean towels and wash clothes. I’d recommend this as a solid place to stay, especially if you just need somewhere to sleep.

We were comfortable in room 306, a ground floor room in the second building. Since I’d read that traffic on Seventh could be noisy, I asked for a quieter room. The shower had great water pressure, and they supplied a hair dryer along with basic toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, even though those weren’t listed on the website. Keep in mind that some rooms don’t have private bathrooms.

Room 305 was spotless, with lots of space and a good-sized bathroom, and we had a great stay. The mattress was much too soft, though, and left my back hurting all night.

That two-story family suite was cramped and way overpriced. The beds were hard, and the low walls around them meant we kept hitting our heads getting in and out. The bathroom was tiny, and the shower was so small we kept knocking the shampoo and conditioner dispensers off the wall while trying to wash our hair. It was horrible.
