Breakfast by the fireplace was a lovely start to the day: hot burritos, good coffee, and a warm, cozy feel. Sunlight was coming softly into our room that morning, too. We were only passing through Santa Fe when we spotted this historic, authentic-feeling place around 5 PM and booked it. We arrived to check in around 9 PM, and a very kind woman welcomed us, showed us our room, and promised us a delicious breakfast. Thank you for the hospitality. I really wish the business success, and we'd gladly recommend staying here.

The bed was so comfortable that I slept wonderfully and wished I could've stayed a few more nights. Breakfast was delicious and filling, and our hostess made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The inn was clean, cozy, and comfortable throughout. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Fe.
We were wiped out when we arrived the first night, and Allan spent about an hour showing us where things were and how to work the remote. Sorry I wasn't taking it all in, Allan. I'm sure your Santa Fe advice is great. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite, which has a somewhat open layout that we actually liked. The architecture was charming, the service caring, and it was one of the best hotels my girlfriend and I have stayed in.
We were comfortable here even in chilly weather, and the price felt fair. It isn't a high-end luxury stay, as other reviews have mentioned, but it worked well as a home base. The inn's small size seemed to allow a bit more attention at breakfast than you'd get at a larger hotel. Staff were warm and made sure we knew our way around, explained the room's quirks, and said they were available if we needed anything. We hadn't settled on our train from Albuquerque ahead of time, but they followed up that day, and check-in went smoothly. We didn't have a car, so the location was a real plus. It's quiet, set far enough from the plaza to feel like a retreat, while still walkable to most sights and the Railrunner station. We needed that station to catch an early train and make sure we'd get our flight back from ABQ. As the website says, some rooms are reached by stairs, so keep that in mind if accessibility or bulky luggage is a concern.
The coffee was excellent, and breakfast included tasty local options. Downtown was genuinely walkable from this charming boutique hotel, which meant we could explore the attractions without worrying about parking. The managers were a delight, warm, funny, and always happy to chat. The place has loads of character.
