Cottonwood Court Motel

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The location is handy, right on the 2 route for the bus, so it’s easy to get downtown or to Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return. We’ll stay here again.

It was easy to get in and out, with lots of parking, and the location is close to everything. The room kept the cold weather out really well. The front desk person was also very nice and helpful.

We wished we could’ve stayed another night. This beautiful courtyard-style historic motel was built in 1928 and is lovingly looked after by a wonderful couple. Room 13 was huge and full of character, with old doors and iron lever latches, plus a classic tree-trunk-beamed ceiling. The 1950s pink-tiled bathroom added to the charm. Historic downtown is only a mile away.

We liked the motel setup, with parking right at the door, so unloading bags was easy. The Cottonwood Court caught our eye while looking for a motel in Santa Fe, with its very Southwestern exterior, ample parking, and meticulous upkeep. The owners were very nice, and their dog was cute too. We stayed three nights because it was such good value. Inside, the clean, nicely furnished room was about 300 sq. ft., bigger than a standard hotel room, with lots of storage, a comfy metal four-poster bed, and dark-stained ceiling logs that made it feel homey. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The location was perfect.
