Fort Marcy Hotel Suites by All Seasons Resort Lodging

The place is fine and has plenty of parking. The accommodations were clean and decent, with nothing fancy about them. Downtown is too far to walk, but it’s a quick drive. I can’t comment on the pool or hot tub because we didn’t have time to use them, though their opening hours weren’t convenient. By the time you finish shopping and eating for the day, they’re closed. The master bedroom skylight also lets in far too much light early in the morning. Apart from that, it’s a nice place.

We went through Expedia, but the room we got wasn’t the one advertised there, and it was unlivable. There were mouse traps, holes, and stains. The furniture and, really, everything about it was very unpleasant. One bathroom had such a putrid smell of animal urine that we kept the door shut for the whole stay and used only the other bathroom. I could go on, but I don’t think I’ll ever book here again, and I won’t use Expedia again either. My husband posted pictures showing how bad our room was. A word of advice: I wouldn’t rely on Expedia reviews. They control the reviews and only allow five-star ones.

The staff were courteous and professional, and our two-bedroom unit was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable, too. We could walk to the Plaza, restaurants, and other town sights in about 15 minutes. My only wish is that the pool and hot tub stayed open later. Closing at 6 p.m. meant we couldn't use them. Still, we had a very good stay.

Everything else was good, and we really liked having two bathroom sinks. The walk-in shower was quite clean, too. I’d give it five stars if the kitchen had a hood fan. We cooked twice, and the oily smell got into our clothes and hair, so we opened the windows for fresh air. Thankfully the weather wasn’t cold, but we stopped cooking for the rest of our stay. The sofa bed mattress could also be better. Its metal springs were uncomfortable and hurt.
