The continental breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel is pet friendly. It’s charming and sits in a GREAT part of town. We researched other options and found they weren’t in the best areas, so we highly recommend this one. Naomi and Sasha at the front desk were wonderful. No complaints, and we were pleasantly surprised.

We enjoyed the lovely breakfast in the lounge and the outdoor pool and hot tub. The location is beautiful, and the pricing was great. Rooms feel cozy and have a Southwestern style, and the staff were pleasant. I’d recommend it for a solo trip, a couple, or a family. Thanks!

The lounge was a highlight: it had a wonderful view over Santa Fe, and the service there was great. The staff were kind, too, and I appreciated their efforts to make things better. Still, the stay fell short of what the place advertises as a “leisure resort.” It has potential, but it felt like corners were being cut, and it didn’t feel like a resort to us. We were charged a $25 nightly resort fee, supposedly covering parking, WiFi, pool access, water in the room, and a welcome beverage. We never received the drink, and parking, WiFi, and pools are usually included in a room rate at most hotels. There was live music listed, but no one ended up performing. The first room’s toilet wouldn’t flush properly, as though it had already been clogged. Maintenance plunged and flushed it repeatedly for about 15 minutes, then said it was just a little slow, advised us to take it easy with the flushes, and said they’d look at replacing it after we left. The next day it failed again, worse this time, so I insisted on another room. We were moved to a suite, which was nice, but didn’t feel much like an upgrade beyond a microwave and mini fridge. The microwave seemed like the cheapest available, and I think those amenities should be in all rooms. The suite was about the same size as the standard room, basically a standard motel room with one small window facing the parking lot. Worse, half its outlets didn’t work. Other things around the property were disappointing. The hot tub has jets but they don’t work, and staff told us it’s just a “soaking tub.” The wood-burning outdoor fireplace has to be lit by staff, so you have to plan ahead if you want to sit by a fire; it isn’t usually lit. Gates by the pool were locked half the time, which meant a much longer walk around the property between our room and the front desk. Some walkway lights were on, but many weren’t, leaving parts of the walk very dark. It felt as though they were trying to dress up an old property as a leisure resort and missing the mark.

I come to Santa Fe often and really wanted to like this hotel, but staff didn’t communicate clearly about the changes and made me feel that customers weren’t appreciated. When I booked, it had a different name. A few weeks later, it had a new one, and nobody had told me, so I was confused. At check-in, no one mentioned my room had been downgraded. I found out only after getting there: I was meant to have a terrace and Mountain View, but got a parking lot view and no terrace. The room was filthy, and it wasn’t worth the price. I’d rather have stayed in my car, though I didn’t feel safe doing that. There was dried, suspicious stuff all over the bench seat cushions. It was disgusting. I understand renovations, but dirty rooms that aren’t fit for guests shouldn’t be booked, and the cushions should be cleaned. The advertised breakfast and welcome drink weren’t available either. The front desk said they had been discontinued.

The pool and landscaping looked lovely, and I liked the room, though a fridge and a few extra chairs would make it better. The bar had a nice atmosphere and a good bartender, but the food choices were limited on the day we visited.
