Inn and Spa at Loretto

We had live music in the lobby on the night we stayed, which added to a really special visit. The Loretto is right downtown, with shops and restaurants all around it, and the building is beautiful, with Pueblo-style architecture and attached gift shops and restaurants. Everyone was friendly. The valet was kind and capable, and had no trouble bringing us our keys when we'd left something in the car. It was a highlight of our trip.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the property. The Inn and Spa at Loretto is beautifully kept, both inside and out, and puts you close to everything we wanted to see in downtown Santa Fe. A wonderful choice for a special stay, highly recommended.

It was pricey, but the quality made it worth it and then some. The General Manager even paused what he was doing to help after we accidentally locked our key in the room. Hunter gave us ideas for places to go at check-in, Nikki suggested breakfast spots, and Ben served the best meal I've had in a long time. All three were so helpful and went above and beyond. The Inn was wonderful, and the staff were the best. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Santa Fe, this is it.

The one thing I appreciated was the free coffee. The room smelled musty, had no mirror, and the iron had black gunk on it that ruined a perfect pair of white pants I was saving for a wedding. For an expensive place listed as “high-end,” I expected at least a little luxury. Instead it felt like staying in a cave or hut. The staff were kind, though the tall male host seemed odd. The valet was often away from the post, and getting the car turned into a long, unpleasant ordeal. They also left a cute stuffed bear on the bed without explaining it cost $35 to take home. I slept with it the whole stay, then learned it wasn't included and that they'd put it back in the room if I didn't want to pay. Who knows how many people had drooled on it before me. 2/10. Save your money.
