Quality Inn Santa Fe New Mexico

The staff were professional and courteous, our room was immaculate, and the beds were just right. The large TV and remote worked as they should, with no confusing apps or interface trouble. It was a relief to press a button and have things work, which feels rare on the road these days. This is a budget value motel, not the Ritz, and it does that job as well as any I’ve seen. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The motel rooms were great, but the staff and management seemed terribly untrained in customer service. I asked a simple question about the rate and the GM came out yelling at me. We’d had to leave our apartment because of an infestation, and Goodwill is helping us, but whenever I ask something while he’s around, I get yelled at. It’s unbelievable. In my 16 years in hospitality, I’ve never been treated so horribly. I called Choice to complain, but all they do is send it to the property. This is insane. Is this the new hospitality model, treating guests like trash?

We walked to Crumbl Cookie at 9 PM on a freezing February night. My husband suggested stopping by the lobby because “they always have coffee.” It was late, and there wasn’t any, since coffee is only available until 11 AM. The owner apologized, and just as I was heading out, he came around the corner from the office with a cup of coffee for me. What a sweet owner. He restored my hope in humanity. Give this man business!

For what this place costs, I expected a lot better. The area didn't feel safe, and someone stole things from my car overnight. Inside, the room was worn and the whole building looks like it badly needs renovation. The AC never worked, so it stayed hot the entire time. The bedding didn't seem clean to me, and the refrigerator wasn't working right either.
