The hotel’s best feature is its location: Santa Monica Pier is a two-minute walk away, and the beach is also just two minutes away. Parking is offered to guests for USD 30 a day, so it isn’t free. The hotel occupies a fairly old, two-story building. Its rooms are about 40 square meters, with a large bed and a TV offering various channels. They’re suited to one guest or a couple.

Chris Giles made us feel like family as soon as we arrived. He shared useful local advice, including where to go in the city and how to avoid parking fines, and made the stay easy and stress-free. He showed us the room himself and explained everything with real care. That kind of hospitality is rare. The room was spotless, the hotel was very clean, and we had a beautiful view. It’s a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and Santa Monica Pier. This stay reminded me how much kindness matters when people come through your door. Thank you, Chris, and Bayside Hotel. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay again.

Really liked it. The rooms were nice, well equipped, and always clean, and the service was friendly and professional. It’s a nice hotel by the beach, with Venice Beach and SM Pier easy to reach on foot.

The hotel is very quiet, and our room was clean with an ocean view, just one block from the beach. The staff were wonderful. Robert let us leave our bags there before our flight, and another gentleman in the office helped weigh them. We enjoyed our one-night stay. The only real downside was being on the first floor: we could hear people walking above us at night and early in the morning. I’d suggest asking for one of the top four floors if available.

I could see the beach from my room and watched a girl's sunset. The room also had a full kitchen, which was really convenient. Key card operated gates secure all the rooms, which gave guests great security. The hotel is in a beautiful, convenient spot right near the pier, and I’ll definitely stay again.
