We rented unit #134 and liked the bungalow itself, especially its spot right beside the very well-kept pool. It didn’t come with many extras, like spare blankets, and the living room seating wasn’t comfortable for everyone. The management company also wasn’t very responsive when we needed something. Renting bikes was one of our best decisions: we used them to explore and get to the beach. The beach, though, is why we won’t return. There’s just a 200-foot public stretch, roped off between private areas that were nearly empty every day. It was maddening. My husband had to get up at 6:30 each morning to claim a place, and by noon people were packed about three feet apart. The steps down to the beach also made it impossible to take a wagon down without two people. The area felt like the “The Hampton’s” of Florida, with little commercialization and lots of pricey local shops. Next year we’ll go back to the villas in PCB, where the beach is far superior.
We’ve stayed in this community four times now, and it’s been great for a family vacation. The bungalows share a pool and spa, and it’s a lovely setup. You can bike to the main spots and walk to a perfect beach. Great value for the money.
It’s a nice nine-minute walk to the beach. Some rooms overlook swampland, so expect loud Florida Bog Frogs in spring and summer.
Our family getaway here was just right. The pool and hot tub are clean and well cared for, and there are always friendly people around them. Nights are peaceful, with no car noise when you wake up. The bungalows look well maintained from outside, perhaps thanks to a strict HOA, and there’s plenty of parking. The beach is a five to eight minute walk, and the privacy and quiet of the tucked-away setting are worth it. A convenience store at the gas station is five minutes away on foot, and restaurants are plentiful by walking, driving, or biking. Find a reputable renter and enjoy your stay.
We rented Sea Grove bungalow #128. The property is secluded and nice, and the beds are really comfortable. It’s pet friendly, but the beach nearby isn’t. A friendly neighbor said dogs need a permit on the beach, and that you can get a $100 fine without one. That explained the dirty looks from a snobby woman when I had my little poodle there. To me, this place feels like a rich haven with ridiculous rules. We’ll go somewhere else next year.
