Our balcony had a lovely view, and the beach access was fantastic: gated and right across the street. There are lots of steps, though, so a beach buggy doesn't work well. We tried one of the three pools and liked it. I'm glad the place is pet friendly, but there was pet hair on the balcony cushions. Our unit had lots of hooks for drying beach clothes and towels, which helped since you're not supposed to hang things on the balconies. The unit seemed pretty clean, and the fridge was spotless, but the fitted sheet was too small for the mattress. We enjoyed our stay in Gulf Place Cabanas #308 in the end, but people considering a rental should know that the units vary a lot in quality. Our relatives' unit had lovely upgrades; ours was VERY BASIC and hadn't been upgraded. They advertise sleeping six, but I can't imagine where everyone's luggage would go. There's only one bedroom and closet. Little kids could use the hallway nook bunks, but since there were just two of us, we used that space for our clothes. For a six-person unit staying a week, we got five bath towels, three washcloths, two hand towels, and one bath mat, so we had to do laundry every other day. The washer and dryer are shared with the floor rather than inside the unit, and one of the two dryers didn't work. We spent a lot of vacation time checking when machines were free and when they finished. The bathroom rug was FILTHY and looked like it had never been washed, which was pretty disgusting. The microwave was dirty on the ceiling, and the dishes had been put away wet. Security wrote us up for attaching bikes to the rail, even though there were no available bike racks where they said to put them. The note was rude and said they'd "trash" our bikes. There was also a bad, sulfur-like smell in some areas outside. Not sure if it came from algae growing quickly in the pond or something else. The codes change periodically, but our rental agency, Dune Allen Realty, gave us only one set and didn't tell us when they changed. I'm undecided about staying again; I'd check reviews for the specific unit carefully.

The best part was the spectacular view from our fourth-floor gulf-facing unit, #408-Caribbean. The pool was wonderful and just outside the elevator, which is right across from the unit. We had a great experience at the on-site Jade Nail Salon, and the small restaurant on the property, The Perfect Pig, gets good reviews. The development is well located on 30A, the main road through this beach community. We stayed four nights in a clean, spacious condo that worked well for two. It's marketed for six, but I wouldn't recommend that many unless you're only sleeping there. This unit could use an update and more comfortable, newer furnishings. The cookware was near the end of its life, and the tub and shower drained so slowly that by the end I was standing in three inches of water. The bedroom had a king bed and a small closet; a queen would've fit the room better. We'd stay again, hopefully in a remodeled unit.

The only thing going for it is how close it is to the beach, just a minute away. The place was gross: dirt and dust built up everywhere, stuff stuck to my feet, and even the remotes were dirty. All the furniture was rickety, and the faucet ran. It's cramped like sardines in a tin. Honestly, spend a little more and stay somewhere nice.

Our family loved these condos for a getaway. The unit was beautiful and clean, and the pool was great for a quick dip. Best of all, private beach access goes right from the condo building to a less crowded part of the public beach.

The view was good, and the private beach access was nice, but Unit #401 was a two-star stay for us. It wasn't clean and had small ants everywhere. The furniture and garbage can were both on their last legs. Probably wouldn't stay there again, though it wasn't the worst experience.
