Room 208: The bed was comfortable, and the other surfaces were clean. The floors had been mopped, a huge plus after 10 hotels where they seemed to ignore them. The shower, though, was a mess: the walls had boogers/snot, pink slime, and mildew, and black mold above the shower had been painted over but was now seeping through and dripping down the walls. The hot and cold taps were reversed, so be careful. You can tell the room was remodeled recently, but it won’t stay that way if it isn’t cleaned properly. Shower walls are part of the shower, too. And please fix the parking lot potholes, especially the one big enough for my entire car. You know which one I mean.

The room was comfortable and very nice, and I had a great time at the bar. I’d spent a long day driving north and was happy to find a bar and restaurant inside. The rate was great, the staff were kind and helpful, and I even met the owner, who was so nice he walked me to my room. My room was by the pool, but it was too cold to enjoy it. I’ll be back in summer. I’d stayed across the street before, but from now on I’ll stay here.

It’s a great spot for an overnight stop on a trip, with friendly, helpful hosts, a clean room, comfortable beds, and new towels. There are some excellent restaurants nearby, and we especially liked Santee Seafood Bistro. The breakfast is small and isn’t really a feature anymore. This was our first stay, but it won’t be our last.

We found booking easy, there was no cancellation fee, and it was great value. I didn’t end up needing to cancel. The staff were very helpful, and my spouse, who’s very meticulous, thought the attractive room was really clean. Convenient and safe location, too, with a lovely inner courtyard and great pool.

Gentry brought us menus, so we were actually served breakfast. I’d never had that happen with a free hotel breakfast, and it made us feel valued as guests. Gentry was extremely kind, polite, and accommodating, a real asset to the company. We were glad we stopped on our way to Philly. The room was nice and clean, the staff were amazing, and the price was so good I hadn’t expected breakfast to be free. I hope we get to come back!
