Our handicapped accessible room had a wooden walkway with at least four steps before the door. There are no amenities at the rooms, and the lake and other included amenities are a mile away. We booked three nights but are leaving after the first.

The rooms have been beautifully renovated and are super clean. We loved our stay, and the place definitely exceeded our expectations. Exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

The condo was clean and comfortable, and convenient for hiking to waterfalls. I was very unhappy to find an unexpected $20.00 per person, per day amenities charge, whether or not you planned to use anything. Many of the amenities also had extra costs. When I asked about the charge, I was told it covered parking and HOA fees too. I'm not an owner, and I don't understand how you get to your condo without parking in the designated spot. Beware!

The renovations in our two-story condo, number 1341, were breathtaking, and it was well stocked for cooking and handling the kitchen, bathroom, bedding, and linens. The master bedroom and bath, plus the washer and dryer, were on the second floor/basement. That space was gorgeous, with a huge shower and updated finishes. We counted around 10-12 steps, which were easy to manage with the handrails. The resort's amenities aren't right outside your door, but they're worth the short drive. There's a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, an upscale, up-to-date fitness center, a hot tub area, a tanning bed, putt-putt golf, and a challenging high rope course. Take your guest pass to use them. The wooded views from inside and from the front outdoor areas were lovely. We couldn't access the upstairs or downstairs back balconies because of hurricane damage and safety reports, but we didn't miss them. From check-in to check-out, we were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the resort was, especially after seeing recent negative reviews. Staff were positive, hospitable, attentive, and accommodating. They sometimes tended to other guests through their cell-phone texting system. Our texts with questions or requests never got an answer, but we never saw any sign that staff didn't care, and we were always welcomed when we stopped by the office. People should remember that this area suffered incredible hurricane damage less than a year ago. Roads still have detours and need repairs, and infrastructure and businesses were affected. Some prices may be a little higher, but the area had lost power, phone and computer signals, roads and bridges washed out, and flooding caused other damage during a terrible event beyond anyone's control. Our unit's Wi-Fi worked fine with its own password and connection. We did run into frequent no-signal spots when traveling around the mountains, but never at the resort. The progress from last year to today is a monumental accomplishment. This place was incredibly amazing. The critical reviews are so unfair. I'd say it's a 10+. We can't wait to return and enjoy this fantastic find some more.

It's a pretty spot in the woods, and the rooms are enormous with well-equipped kitchens. I booked several rooms for my team. Check-in was a bit odd: the receptionist had me sign paperwork for a $100 refundable deposit, but then wanted to charge me $250.
