Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Saraland/North Mobile

I was buying a house in the area and ended up staying here for more than two months. I could’ve moved between motels each week, but this one felt so comfortable, pleasant, and welcoming that I wanted to stay. My suite was always clean and looked after, and Manager Amanda Sanchez, the desk workers, and the cleaning crew were all friendly and nice. There’s also a technician on site who helped whenever I had trouble with the A/C or another device. The team would help with booking or room issues, even calling Wyndham's headquarter for me. I have nothing but good things to say. Thank you for a great stay!

I wasn’t as happy with the room this visit as I have been before. On the first floor, the carpet had a sticky spot and needed vacuuming, molding was coming off around the closet door, and there was some rust. It didn’t affect our stay, and I’ll keep coming back when I visit family in Saraland. The staff are always great, and breakfast is wonderful.

We didn’t stay the night because we felt unsafe. The outside door on the first floor didn’t lock, and anyone could open it with a hard pull, no key needed. People were loitering by it when we came in, and others walking around outside seemed sketchy, to say the least. The room also had a strong, unpleasant odor. We checked in between 6&7pm, not late at night. The staff were great, though. I’d called to book and later change the date, and they were friendly and helpful. When I explained the safety concerns, they helped cancel our reservations.

The staff were awesome, but the room was only okay. The carpet was torn and ripped, there was rust and mold around the shower enclosure, and the TV kept cutting in and out.
