We only needed somewhere to sleep for one night, Saturday to Sunday, and this was close to town. We had a great stay and would come back, maybe trying a different room since we booked through Airbnb. Our main trouble was the room itself: both beds were so uncomfortable that we kept waking up and couldn't sleep, and the walls were thin enough that we heard people moving or talking. There are plenty of shared spaces and things to do, including a basement with a pool table and TV, and a communal room on the first floor for sitting and chatting. There are several bathrooms too, including a private one and one with multiple stalls and showers on the second floor. I'm sure there are others on other floors.

The shared bathroom felt private and was never occupied when we needed it. Our room was warm and comfortable, and the guest house is beautiful and well kept. We spent three nights here for a ski trip to Whiteface with my girlfriend. The only snag was that the parking lot was oversaturated on a busy Friday night.

It's quiet, cozy, comfortable, and an amazing value, with downtown within walking distance. We loved it enough to cancel another place and book a room here for a trip we're planning at the end of October. This is definitely going to be our go-to whenever we're coding the area!

The basement was a fun place to hang out with our kids in the evening, and the porch was great for coffee in the fresh mountain air. Prescott House was a privilege to stay in, given the home's history and beauty. We had everything we needed and slept comfortably. It's conveniently right in Saranac Lake. Our family room slept our three kids, while Mom and Dad had a queen room with a private bath. Easy and enjoyable, highly recommend.

John greeted us warmly and helped carry our luggage upstairs. We stayed for two nights over Labor Day weekend, in town for my baby grandson's first birthday. I was very happy with our room and its whisper-quiet air conditioning, plus it had a TV and internet. I wasn't thrilled that it was on the third floor, but the price was right. We'll visit again and stay at Prescott House.
